- NAME
-
- WBPatWrite - write Workbench pattern preferences file
-
- SYNOPSIS
-
- WBPatWrite WBPIC,WP=WINPIC/K,SP=SCREENPIC/K,PREFSFILE,ICON/S,SYS=SYSTEM/S,CHECK/S
-
- DESCRIPTION
-
- WBPatWrite generates a WBPattern preferences file ready for use. In
- this respect it is a shell-only replacement for WBPattern. Filenames
- given for the pictures are generally not checked for validity.
-
- OPTIONS
-
- WBPIC
- Picture to show in the Workbench root window.
-
- WP=WINPIC/K
- Picture to show in the Workbench drawer windows.
-
- SP=SCREENPIC/K
- Picture to show on the Workbench screen. *NOTE* This is different
- from the root window. This picture is usually only seen when the
- Workbench is not in backdrop mode.
-
- PREFSFILE
- If this option is not given, the default is "wbpattern.pre".
-
- ICON/S
- This switch causes the program to generate an icon for the
- resulting preferences file. The default tool is set to
- SYS:Prefs/WBPattern and a tooltype ACTION=USE is set.
-
- First the program seeks for a file ENV:Sys/def_pref.info to use.
- If this is not found, the system default project icon is used.
-
- SYS=SYSTEM/S
- Overrides any given ICON and PREFSFILE options by turning off
- the ICON option and setting PREFSFILE to ENV:Sys/wbpattern.pref,
- resulting in a direct display of the chosen picture files in the
- appropriate areas of the Workbench.
-
- CHECK/S
- The filename given for a picture is checked for validity. If the
- picture doesn't exist, the program sets its returncode to 5 (WARN).
-
- BUGS
-
- Absolute paths must be used, or at least relative to an assign, or IPrefs
- will complain.
-
- If no further options are given, a preferences file named
- wbpattern.pre with all pictures set to none is written in the
- current directory. Perfectly predictable, if you have read this
- doc so far, by the way. ;)
